ClearOne Awarded Speech Patent
ClearOne, a provider of audio and visual communication solutions, has been awarded a U.S. patent relating to speech technology.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued patent number 9,715,873 to ClearOne. This patent, titled "Method for Adding Realism to Synthetic Speech," involves a way to create "speech fonts" that allow users to have their messages read allowed using the voice of anyone who has authorized the use of their voice patterns for synthetic speech.
This new patent is one of more than 100 patents and pending patent applications in the fields of audio and video processing, audio and video streaming, and communications.
