Circles Selects Empirix for Siebel Testing
LOS ANGELES - Circles announced that it has selected Empirix e-TEST™ suite to test the performance of its Siebel 7.5 customer relationship management (CRM) application prior to deployment. As a result, Circles vice president of technology, Deb Ryley, reported that her IT team was able to make a number of enhancements that led to performance improvements, and were able to achieve rollout.
"We were not only upgrading from a legacy to a Web-based version of Siebel business applications, but also outsourcing the application to a hosting provider," said Ryley. "With so many moving parts, we knew testing would be essential. We needed to ensure that performance of the new system would be as good as or better than our existing one.
"Having had bad experiences with traditional testing vendors, it was crucial to us to find a solution that was easy to use," Ryley continued. "Empirix showed us that we didn't have to spend weeks learning a proprietary language in order to use automated testing tools. We were able to perform very thorough testing in a short amount of time, which had a major positive impact on the quality of the application and our launch."
Empirix e-TEST suite is a platform for automated testing of Web-based applications including Siebel 7.x. With e-TEST suite, customers can verify that their Siebel deployment environment will scale to support the activities of the enterprise. They can then use Empirix OneSight™ to monitor and manage application performance in production.
