Cesky Telecom Migrates To New Messaging System

WOODBURY, NY - Comverse, a supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communications services (a unit of Comverse Technology Inc. NASDAQ: CMVT), announced that the Czech operator Cesky Telecom has deployed Comverse messaging solutions. Messaging systems, in addition to hosting voicemail, are also versatile platforms for many other enhanced services. When it became clear that the former voicemail system was obsolete for the Czech operator's developing needs, Cesky Telecom selected Siemens to provide a Comverse system capable of integrating voicemail, unified messaging, voice control and multimedia applications, and future-ready for next generation services. "Siemens and Comverse implemented the new messaging system that can support our future plans to introduce new customized services and features that best meet the needs of our subscribers," said Milo? Another element of the Cesky Telecom upgrade was renumbering of the whole telecommunication network at Czech Republic that was coincidently in process at the final stage of Comverse system implementation.
