Cepstral Announces Long-Term Agreement with DynaVox Systems
PITTSBURGH, PA - Cepstral LLC, a company that provides speech technologies and services that enhance the delivery of information, announced it has signed a long-term agreement with DynaVox Systems LLC, developers of high technology Augmentative and Alternative Communications (AAC) solutions. Under the terms of the agreement, Cepstral will be the preferred provider of voices for DynaVox products. This agreement formally extends a successful relationship which began in 2001. "DynaVox is committed to developing and delivering solutions that improve the quality of life for adults and children with severe speech disabilities," said Joe Swenson, president of DynaVox. "In selecting Cepstral as the exclusive provider of voices for our AAC devices, we can continue to execute our mission of revolutionizing the way people with disabilities communicate by providing our customers with the highest quality natural sounding voices in the world." As part of its agreement with DynaVox, Cepstral will provide a variety of U.S. English voices, as well as male and female voices in Canadian French, American Spanish, German, and U.K. English. The voices will be used on DynaVox devices, which enable individuals with significant speech disabilities to express themselves understandably through natural sounding voice technology. While the voices are capable of saying anything, they have been designed and tuned specifically for DynaVox products. "DynaVox is the world's leader in the AAC market, and we are very pleased that they have chosen Cepstral as the preferred provider of voices for their AAC devices," said Jaime A. Smith, president and CEO of Cepstral. "Cepstral voices make it possible for individuals who are unable to communicate effectively using their own voices to find voices that suit both their personality and needs. We look forward to working with DynaVox to expand their portfolio of voice offerings and language capabilities so that they can effectively meet the needs of their customers around the world."
