Cellcom and NSC Declare Cooperation

ISRAEL - After more than 12 months of testing, Cellcom has decided to implement NSC ASR technology as its speech recognition engine. Both companies are starting a commercial pilot project in order to implement this technology among Cellcom employees for a period of three months, and then to offer it to Cellcom's 2.5M subscribers. At the first phase, a voice-activated corporate address book will be offered to Cellcom employees. The second phase will approach Cellcom's subscribers with various ASR enabled services. Mr. Oren Most, Senior VP of Cellcom said "In our on-going effort to provide our subscribers with the state of the art services and technology, we have decided to adopt NSC technology." When implemented in cellular networks NSC's ASR technology upgrades various content services and personal network usage such as voice activated dialing, address book and unified messaging services. The NSC product is a PCI board which can be plugged into any existing system without the need of a dedicated computer. NSC ASR technology is DSP based using standard PCI boards which allow up to 120 ASR channels on a single board, and up to 500 channels on one 4U box. Oren Most of Cellcom feels that NSC's solution will enhance his overall network's goals: "I truly believe we will be able to fulfill our business plans for ASR services using NSC solution."
