Cadre Technologies' New Mobile Logistics Feature
DENVER--Cadre Technologies' new Cadence Mobile Logistics (CML) is a Microsoft Windows-based mobile-user system that lets warehouse workers capture data through touch-screen, barcode scanner, camera, radio frequency identification (RFID), or voice technology on a single hand-held computer.
CML connects the mobile worker with the company's main database, updating in real time to put the most up-to-the-minute information in the user's hands. CML increases performance of mobile warehouse workers by letting the employee choose the most effective way to receive and input data based on work conditions, including a completely hands-free method for voice-directed picking and a bilingual language option. This lets the worker verbally communicate with the host application to confirm when the job is complete and receive another assignment. Mobile workers use a headset with a microphone and speaker, which attaches to a holster-supported mobile computer. The benefit is that the worker's hands and eyes are completely focused on performing the desired task, not on typing or scanning information.
