Brooktrout and VoiceGenie Partner
NEEDHAM, Mass. - Brooktrout will incorporate VoiceGenie's VoiceXML technology into its SnowShore IP media server to help enable fixed and mobile service providers to bring to market speech-driven multimedia services.
Brooktrout and VoiceGenie are collaborating to deliver media server products through their partnership in the first quarter of 2006. Brooktrout expects to make VoiceGenie's VoiceXML 2.0-compliant technology a standard feature of the SnowShore IP Media Server, providing carriers with speech processing capabilities and VoiceXML support combined with multimedia processing for speech-driven applications.
Brooktrout's SnowShore IP Media Server is a software-based, IP media server supported by a range of hardware platforms running on Red Hat Linux. It leverages SIP, VoiceXML, and MSCML to provide an IP media server solution, powering a range of voice and video services for next-generation wireline, wireless and broadband networks including the 3GPP/3GPP2 IPMultimedia Subsystem (IMS) network architecture.
This strategic partnership agreement comes on the heels of VoiceGenie's recent announcement to collaborate with Brooktrout on interoperability of VoiceGenie's Media Resource Function Controller (MRFC) with the Brooktrout SnowShore IP Media Server's Media Resource Function Processor (MRFP) as defined by the IMS network architecture.
