Brooktrout Supports SALT Industry Standard for Delivering Speech-Enabled Telephony and Multi-Modal Applications

SAN FRANCISCO - Brooktrout Technology, Inc. announced its strategic relationship with Microsoft to expand the enterprise speech market. Brooktrout is a member of Microsoft's Speech Partner Program and will collaborate with Microsoft to enable faster and easier implementation of Microsoft Speech Server 2004-based applications for integrators and developers. In addition, the Microsoft and Brooktrout relationship will allow Microsoft to leverage the established Brooktrout reseller channel of experienced telephony resellers, VADs and systems integrators to continue to develop the enterprise speech market. Brooktrout will work to integrate its award-winning TR1000 voice and speech platform with the Microsoft Speech Server to offer advanced media processing and call control capability, allowing customers access to applications such as interactive voice response, automatic speech recognition, voice mail and unified messaging applications written to Microsoft specifications. The platform supports the SALT standard.
