Brooktrout Integrates TR1000 Product Line with Envox 6 to Provide Customers with VoiceXML Capabilities
NEEDHAM , Mass. - Brooktrout Technology, Inc. announced that it has integrated its family of TR1000™ speech processing boards with the Envox 6 Communications Development Platform. Envox 6 is an open, standards-based development platform.
Brooktrout's TR1000 product line is a series of next generation telephony boards designed for speech solutions. The TR1000 enables voice application developers easy expansion due to Brooktrout's single API design. The boards perform preprocessing of the audio signal before it is sent to the speech recognition system. Phonetic Systems have used Envox 6 and the TR1000 product line to develop and deploy Phonetic Receptionist, a ready-to-use 24x7 speech-enabled auto attendant designed for the small to medium sized business. Phonetic Receptionist is based on the company's PhoneticOperator. Phonetic Receptionist enables callers to say the name of the person or department they want to reach and then connects the call.
