Babel-Infovox ASR and TTS Deployed by Lingsoft

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN - Babel-Infovox AB announced that Lingsoft, a Finnish language processing and comprehension solution provider, has chosen Babel-Infovox' speaker-independent Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Babear as well as Babel-Infovox' text-to-speech (TTS) engines for integration into all their offerings to Finnish and international companies.Lingsoft offers speech technology solutions to Finnish software companies interested in adding speech/speaker recognition or text-to-speech (TTS) to their own software or systems. Lingsoft has its own Speech recognition in Finnish, for which it co-operates with Finnish universities. For all other languages, Lingsoft is using Babel-Infovox' ASR and TTS to add speech commands and user feedback to their clients' software. "At Lingsoft we found the use of Babel's Automatic Speech Recognition called Babear to be very straightforward for use with non-Finnish languages," said Antti Lahti, product manager of Lingsoft. "Babear proved to have many common features compared to our own Finnish speech recognizer. By deploying Babear we can now offer our customers other European languages." Babear is a speaker independent speech recognition product designed for the multimedia and telecommunications market. The system is available in Modern Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Icelandic, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, UK and U.S. English. Babear Integrated into Auralog's TeLL me More Arabi MONS, BELGIUM - Babel Technologies S.A. announced that Auralog has launched TeLL me More Arabic with Babel's Advanced Speech Recognition engine Babear inside. The Arabic language version of this product features a total of 800 hours of language learning and 5,000 exercises in a total of four learning levels and 21 different subjects.
