ArialPhone Corp. Promotes Mike Wagener to President
MUNDELEIN, IL - ArialPhone Corp., a provider of wireless communications devices and voice-enabling software applications, announced the appointment of Mike Wagener to the new position of president. Wagener, who previously served as the company's vice president of product management, joined ArialPhone Corp. in 1998. "Mike has already played a strategic role in ArialPhone Corp.'s success," said Tom Pirelli, co-founder and chairman of ArialPhone Corp. "He has excelled in both the product design and marketing launch of ArialPhone, our flagship product. Now, we're confident his leadership can take us to the next level as we continue to execute our vision of speech-activated, wireless innovation for the home and office." As ArialPhone Corp.'s chief strategist, Wagener is responsible for carrying out the company's business goals while defining market positioning. With his technical background, he also serves as the company's chief technologist and the driving force behind its core competencies in software development and systems design. Prior to joining ArialPhone Corp., Wagener served as vice president, software development for Enterprise Systems, a Wheeling, Illinois-based healthcare software firm founded by Tom Pirelli in 1981. After an initial public offering in 1995, McKesson/HBOC acquired Enterprise Systems in June 1997. Before his work with Enterprise Systems, Wagener was a software project leader with Hewitt Associates. A graduate of Iowa State University, he holds a bachelor's degree in computer science.
