Acapela Releases New Arabic Speech Solutions
MONS, Belgium and TOULOUSE, France - Acapela Group has created Youssef, a male Arabic voice, to complement Salma, a female Arabic speech synthesis that supplements the group's multilingual portfolio which includes 22 languages and 50 voices.
Acapela also released its Arabic speech synthesis for Linux.
Acapela has made its virtual recording studio, Virtual Speaker, available to the Arabic speaking market. This makes it possible to create all voice messages in Arabic without investing in live recording. It reads any text file out loud with the voice of Acapela's text-to-speech.
Egyptian City Stars, a shopping center, has selected Acapela and its partner ATSI to enable its service which allows both residents and on-site shop owners to have their e-mails read out loud over the telephone using Acapela's speech synthesis.
Acapela Group has also partnered with three companies: Medialog, Nattiq Technologies and Visiotech which develop Arabic screen readers to help people suffering from visual deficiencies to access written information.
