Dubber provides call recording and voice data solutions that are natively and uniquely hosted in the cloud, allowing its services to be embedded into third-party telecommunication and cloud collaboration platforms.

The company, which was founded in Australia in 2011, predominantly sells to telecommunications service providers and enterprise customers, and those numbers grew exponentially in the past year. Dubber in just the past few months inked a deal that would allow BT to use it as the default recording and conversational solution in the BT Meetings suite of managed services, including Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex Calling, and Zoom Phone. A similar deal with Optus brought the Dubber platform to the Optus Mobile network. Another partnership involved Evolve IP, which turned to Dubber to analyze data points across conversations and capture critical attributes of calls, videos, and messages. And yet one more deal involved NuWave Communications, which integrated Dubber Unified Conversational Recording (UCR) and voice data services into iPILOT, a platform that allows companies to deploy Microsoft Teams Voice services, including rapid migration, provisioning, capacity management, support, integration, and analytics.

“We are excited to be partnering with Dubber. Dubber’s unique scalability fits perfectly with our view of what cloud voice users, enterprises, and service providers are demanding,” said Mark Bunnell, NuWave’s chief operating officer, in a statement at the time. “By integrating Dubber into iPILOT, we’re able to build on our iPILOT platform and provide service providers with extremely valuable, margin-enhancing services that in return will help their customers extract even more value from their voice and video calls.”

Along those same lines, Dubber expanded its own native Microsoft Teams capabilities with video capture and advanced recording controls and launched Dubber PCI Comply, a cloud-based Payment Card Industry compliance solution for Amazon Web Services’ Amazon Connect cloud contact center platform.

Dubber video recording for Microsoft Teams delivers recording, speech-to-text transcriptions, real-time search, notifications and alerts, and keyword, tone, and sentiment analytics, all backed by artificial intelligence. Advanced recording controls give users greater flexibility and control when recording voice or video calls.

The Dubber PCI Comply for Amazon Connect solution, meanwhile, allows businesses to process credit card information via any communication modality on Amazon Connect, including contact center, voice, interactive voice response, and chat, and make sure they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Dubber in September 2021 acquired fellow Aussies Notiv, a developer of cloud-native artificial intelligence-based products that turn meetings into transcribed notes, summaries, signals, actions, and more, for roughly $4.8 million. The deal strengthened Dubber’s capabilities in real-time transcription, conversational AI, digital signal processing, and natural language processing.

The company then used the technology gained in that acquisition to launch Notes by Dubber, a collaborative digital meeting and call organizer and notetaker. It captures conversations across mobile and unified communications platforms; generates automatic notes, themes, summaries, and action items; and provides a workbench for collaboration before, during, and after meetings and calls.
