PhoneTap 1.3 iPhone App Released
Independent developer Clever Panda today released PhoneTap 1.3 for iPhone, a phone call recording app that lets users record outgoing calls right from their iPhones.
PhoneTap is purely a software solution. Any iPhone owner can download the app and begin recording phone calls instantly. The application seamlessly integrates with a user's contact list stored on the iPhone. PhoneTap includes 20 free minutes of airtime and additional airtime can be purchased from within the application through the user’s iTunes account.
PhoneTap 1.3 includes many performance and reliability enhancements that customers have been asking for. Version 1.3 fixes crashes, reduces dropped calls, and improves recording quality.
With the application, users can do the following:
- record outgoing phone calls;
- share recordings via email instantly; and
- create and store accurate call logs and durations.
Clever Panda contracted with DrewCrawfordApps to develop PhoneTap. “PhoneTap represents an incredible engineering challenge because we not only had to deliver a great iPhone application, but also a scalable and reliable back-end Web and telephone infrastructure that thousands of users can rely on to record their calls,” said Drew Crawford, lead developer. “Getting an app like this through Apple review is no small feat,” he added.
The application requires an iPhone 3G, 3GS, or iPhone 4, iOS 4.2 or later, and 0.5 megabytes of RAM. PhoneTap costs 99 cents for a limited time only.
