NeoSpeech Enhances TTS for ADA Compliance
NeoSpeech, a provider of text-to-speech (TTS) software and speech-enabled solutions, has enhanced the accessibility functions in its TTS voice products.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, NeoSpeech now offers TTS voices for Microsoft SAPI (Speech Application Programming Interface) to use with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) products such as Screenreader, communication devices, and document reader or viewers.
NeoSpeech uses SAPI to integrate speech synthesizer voices with the Windows operating systems. Any program and application that uses SAPI will be able to use NeoSpeech voices. Examples of SAPI compliant applications are Screenreader, AAC software, authoring software, e-learning software, avatars or talking characters, and Adobe Reader.
SAPI voices from NeoSpeech are available both on a 32-bit version to use with most 32-bit applications and a 64-bit version to use with Windows 7 and Windows 8.
In addition, developers can also create their own stand-alone applications using Microsoft’s SAPI SDK with the NeoSpeech speech synthesizer.
NeoSpeech currently offers 12 male and female TTS voices covering U.S. and U.K. English, Spanish, Canadian French, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Korean
