SpeakWrite Offers Transcription Application for iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android

SpeakWrite, an on-demand transcription services provider, is giving customers one more way to upload dictations, conversations, speeches, photos, and other material with this month's launch of its new App for iPhone, Blackberry and Android.

Already, SpeakWrite's 35,000 customers get professional transcripts typed by trained professionals delivered by email in about three hours, and they can use a variety of methods to record and send material. This new smartphone application lets people capture audio and photos on their smartphones and upload the content on the spot. For example, an attorney working after hours or outside the office, or an insurance adjuster drafting a report, can describe findings verbally into his smartphone, insert photos taken on that phone, upload them to SpeakWrite and have the first draft sitting in his email inbox about three hours later.

SpeakWrite is a free Application allowing users to:

• record audio — Users can record and store any length audio;
• transcribe — Users can submit audio files to SpeakWrite, and receive a transcribed document back within a few hours;
• Dictate + Photos — Users can dictate comments on photos taken with their smartphones, then receive files back with the comments and photos integrated into a single word processing file; and
• record and transcribe telephone calls — Users can record telephone calls on their smartphones and receive complete written transcriptions of conversations.
