Loquendo Builds Out Robot 5

Turin, Italy and Viernheim, Germany--Loquendo, a provider of speech technology solutions, COM plan + service, and telecommunications systems, unveiled the integration of Loquendo TTS and Loquendo ASR into the COM plan + service existing platform, Rrobot 5.

Robot 5 is a development platform for building speech-driven solutions that is scaleable and manufacturer independent. Robot 5 unites Loquendo's state-of-the-art technology—automatic speech recognition (Loquendo ASR) and speech synthesis (Loquendo TTS)— with telecommunication hardware in a single application environment, and provides interfaces to information storage media such as databases and the Internet.

Robot 5 Business is an application suite based on the Robot 5 platform that exploits Loquendo's next generation speech technology. It contains applications such as a speech enabled AutoAttendant, a personal Name Dialer, a Conference server, GSM services such as Callback and Conference, a UMS Server including Fax, Voicemail and SMS, and also a call center solution, Agent Line Office.
